To make yellow mustard, ground mustard seeds are mixed with vinegar and water and other few spices to form its thick mustard paste. Some manufacturers add turmeric to enhance the bright yellow color. Yellow mustard is however not as flavorful as Dijon mustard. In fact, it’s situated at the bottom in the heat scale of the various mustard varieties.

All in all, it’s still ideal for hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, barbecue sauces, marinades and dressings.
